SURVEYING LAB/ BASIC CIVIL ENGG. LAB |
|
Surveying is the technique, profession, and science of accurately determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them, commonly practiced by surveyors, and members of various engineering professions. These points are usually on the surface of the Earth, and they are often used to establish land maps and boundaries for ownership, locations like building corners or the surface location of subsurface features, or other purposes required by government or civil law, such as property sales. Surveying is one of the basic area in civil engineering which includes linear and angular measurements of relative positions of the points on the surface of the earth.

CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY LAB |
Concrete is one of the important construction materials. Study of its constituents and their properties is essential for preparing desired mix so as to develop required strength necessary for various types of Structures. Concrete provides strength, durability, and resistance to various environmental conditions. Investigating and characterizing concrete component materials used for highways including cement, aggregate, supplementary and alternative cementitious materials, and admixtures.Developing and evaluating new test methods or enhance existing testing procedures.

SOIL MECHANICS LAB |
|
Soil mechanical tests are performed on undisturbed samples, or samples constructed in the laboratory. With these tests, we look at the deformation and failure behavior of soil at different loads. From laboratory tests, we determine, among other things, the settlement and the shear stresses of soil.

GEOTECHNICAL ENGG. LAB |
The role of Geotechnical lab testing is to determine particle size, strength, water content, and other properties of soil, concrete, and aggregate, helping ensure any structure that touches the Earth rests on a firm foundation and is built with the material quality needed to ensure it is long-lasting and meets.

TRANSPORTATION ENGG. LAB |
|
For the overall development of any country, transportation plays an important role. The Transportation Engineering lab has equipment required to conduct the assess quality of highway materials like aggregate, soil and bitumen so students will be able to conduct the laboratory test on aggregate and bituminous materials and to check the finalized result with standardized value as per recommendation by IRC.

MECHANICS OF SOLIDS LAB |
The Solid Mechanics Laboratory conducts experiments on the fundamental principles of solid mechanics, materials and dynamics. A range of topics are covered including testing of materials for tensile, compression, bending and torsional loads, vibrations and material microstructure. Students perform mechanical testing on a variety of structural elements and machine components following appropriate codes and standards. As a result, they gain understanding of different failure modes of the materials under different mechanical loading conditions.
