About Department

  • The Mechanical engineering department is running Bachelor of engineering course since 2008 having the current intake of 120 seats and Post Graduate (M.E) program since 2014 with 24 seats.
  • The Mechanical Department since its inception has been trying to impart quality education to postgraduates and train them to meet the demands of technical as well as software industries. Also, the department can see itself as a pathfinder of emerging technologies and techniques in the area of production engineering and develop students to be technologically and managerially sound to meet the challenges of the open market in the present era of globalisation.
  • The main objective of production engineering is integration of technology with management in planning and controlling the design, development and operation of manufacturing system. The programme will build upon the existing qualifications of the students and facilitates a deepening of the knowledge in the fields of materials, manufacturing processes, process and product engineering, manufacturing system design, manufacturing competitiveness and management.
  • Rapid advances in manufacturing technology, e.g., computer controlled processes, ERP and new manufacturing concepts like TPS, agile manufacturing, etc. are reinforcing the recognition of technological, organizational, economic and human factors.
  • Production Engineering is diversified; its course includes all the aspects of Manufacturing Systems as well as CAD/CAM.

Message from Head of Department

Head of DepartmentThe department is running AICTE approved and state university, GTU affiliated PG course in Production Engineering since 2014 with sanctioned intake of 24 seats. The department strives to prepare Dynamic and Responsible Post- Graduate Production Engineers for Global Innovation Requirements by imparting Education that expands the Frontier of Human Knowledge through Fundamental and Applied Research conducted by our most important assets- our Faculties and Students. Not only Production Engineers, Department also aims for preparing Entrepreneurs who invest their Knowledge and skills in Global Sustainable Development.
